A national informatics curriculum exists only for some kind of higher secondary schools. In the general degrees in Computer Science there is very little emphasis on the specifics of informatics teaching. There are nowadays specific postgraduate courses for entering into the class A042 (the so-called Tirocinio Formativo Attivo, TFA).

In Italy to become teacher of informatics (or of any other subject) is NOT necessary an “educational degree” in that subject. Any degree in the subject is good to access the national selection which allows to become a teacher. Therefore, as long as the professional has the correct degree for a subject and is among the winners of the selection she can teach the subject.
